How to Make Semur Jengkol

Jengkol is one kind of vegetable
that grown in South East Asia,
especially in Indonesia. It becomes
popular because of its smell, the sulfur
in it. The famous food from Jengkol is
Semur Jengkol . An important thing from
jengkol is jengkol contains lot of
vitamins, carbohydrate, protein, and
other element that useful for our body.
Now, I’m going to tell you how to make
Semur Jengkol.

~Ingredients:
•500 gr of jengkol (peeled)
•3 L of water
•2 tbsp oil

~Seasoning:
•5 of garlic
•5 of onion
•3 of chili
•2 cayenne peppers
•½ tsp of flavor enhancer
•1 tsp of salt
•½ tsp of pepper
•Brown sugar
•White sugar

~How to make:
•Boil water. After that, boil jengkol for
about 10 minutes.
•After it, replace water that was boiled
with new water and boil the water
again and then add jengkol . Boil it
again.
•Do this step until 2-3 times. Then, set
aside the jengkol. Press the jengkol till
you get flat shape.
•Fry seasonings until you get smell
good.
•Add jengkol and stir well.
•Pour 250ml of water and boil it with
small flame.
•Cook semur jengkol until the broth
thick and seasonings absorbed.
•Remove it from stove, arranged the
semur jengkol on the plate.
•Finally, Semur Jengkol’s ready to
serve!
